  • The School building housing the Farooq High School for Girls was reconstructed.

  • 'Ahmed Abdullah Garib Private Industrial Training Institute' is affiliated to the DGET - Directorate General Employment & Training, New Delhi. It is conducting various employment oriented courses including I T I trades of the Government of India such as COPA - Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Draughtsman - Civil, Draughtsman - Mechanical, Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Welder (Gas & Electric) to benefit a greater number of students.

  • The Memon Educational & Welfare Society inaugurated the 'Ahmed Abdulla Garib Technical Institute' at Kausa, out of a munificent donation by Mr. Mahmood Ahmed Garib to commemorate his illustrious father who at one time served the Society as President..

  • The Memon Educational & Welfare Society started the first composite High School in Mumbra known as Patel High School, an Urdu Medium Semi English School dedicated to the memory of 'Zainabbai Patel', which provides education from Kindergarten to S. S. C. level. It is considered to be a leading High School of Mumbra.

  • The Memon Educational & Welfare Society started two full fledged Urdu Medium Semi English High Schools in Jogeshwari for Boys and Girls known as 'Farooq Sattar Oomerbhoy High School for Boys' and 'Farooq High School for Girls' in memory of late 'Farooq', where children are inducted at Kindergarten level and leave after completion of High School (S. S. C.). Both Schools are recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and receive grants from it. The Schools are managed through Bombay Memons' Education Society, an associate of The Memon Educational & Welfare Society.

  • The Memon Educational & Welfare Society completed construction of 7 buildings in Jogeshwari, a suburb of Mumbai (Bombay), to accommodate 184 Memon families that is known as 'Ahmed Oomerbhoy Memon Colony'.

  • Office of The Memon Educational & Welfare Society, shifted to Mumbai (Bombay) from where it started its present operations. An amount of Rs. 64,000.00 was distributed by way of scholarships to needy Memon students, a figure that has progressively increased over the years.

  • The Memon Educational & Welfare Society, established at Calcutta by renowned Sir Adamjee Haji Dawood who remained to his death a father figure in the Educational transformation of the Community.
